Opposing Expert Report Review
We review claimant or defendant quantum schedules and opposing expert reports for methodological errors, unsupported assumptions, arithmetical mistakes, and areas vulnerable to cross-examination. Output may be an advisory memorandum for the legal team rather than a formal court report, depending on instruction.
CPR Part 35 Compliance
Where a formal expert report is instructed, the same CPR Part 35 standards apply. Advisory work is scoped separately and does not replace court-compliant expert evidence where proceedings require it.
Under CPR Part 35 and Practice Direction 35, the expert's duty is to the court. Reports must state qualifications, instructions, facts, assumptions, methodology, opinion, conclusions, and contain a statement of truth. Where proceedings are in the family court, FPR Part 25 applies to expert evidence.
